June 7th, 09 For the Winners!
June 7th, 09 The first annual regular season has finished! Congratulations to all teams who participated in this first for DODS Realism! A FULL realism season accomplished marking the UWFL as the first to accomplish such a feet for DODS Realism. As expected, itwas a long and bumpy road, however, in the end realism won the day. The UWFL has learned a lot from this season and plans to use all suggestions and complaints to put into the new ladder league currently in works. Units will see a vast difference in gameplay and procedures for the future ladder matches that make season play a thing that they may tear themselves away from having fun in the ladder to do. However, as always, expect next season to be full of competition and making players hearts pound as they face off against well organized opponents in the theater of DODS.

May 13th, 09 Week 7 Map - Reves The UWFL is going to hold their next match on Reves. The map holds a very tough river crossing that will prove to be very tricky in crossing. Expect fast paced fighting. Units are encouraged to work on their attacking strategies for they will be needed on this map.

May 8th, 09 Week 6 - Sora making up for some great macthes Going into Sunday, so far each match has gone to an AvA. Sora seems to have createdsome tough matches for all.
April 27th, 09 The 88th Infantry Division prepares for Deployment! The mighty 88th Infantry Division is preparing to enter combat alongside its other Infantry Divisions. Their elite "SF" troops are sure to cut paths into their enemies and destroy opposition.
April 27th, 09 Sora named for week 6 The next fight for the units will be on Sora. Please note that rooftops will be playable. In addition, please read the other rules and a full write up on the map and rules HERE!
April 27th, 09 71st Infantry Division Enters The League! The newly formed 71st Infantry Division has answered the call to arms early in its young career. Eager to get their name out to the community, this unit will add a fresh new feel to the current list of units in the league.
April 27th, 09 Schedule under works The schedule will be updated Thursday. We are using this week to recruit more units for the league and to ensure all current units are familiar with XRay Anti Cheat before proceeding. In addition some key admins are currently on LOA thus slowing down the speed in which we can start again. They will be returning Tuesday to finalize all of the information and get things moving.
April 26th, 09 1st SSF Joins the fight! The 1st Special Service Forces have enrolled for the league. They will be notified with all the information they will need in the next few days. Everyone please welcome this veteran unit of 1.5 years to the community. April 22nd, 09 Admins Needed!!!! The UWFL is looking for qualified admins to help with our processes. We desperatly need: League Managers - These people start each match during the weekends. They do not handle DQ requests. They do not stay on the server. They are only their to go over the midlines one last time and help with the admin of the server. Judges - These people will actively vote on DQ requests and look at every photograph of each player that XRay Anti Cheat takes. League Official - This is same par as Switz and Lapier. We are swamped and need help. Need someone with a lot of time on their hands and like to help organize things. You will be involved with the inner workings of this league and its handelings.
April 21st, 09 Site Being Rebuilt The website is currently being rebuilt from the ground up. I am very sorry for all of this, seems my host could not fix the problem they caused in their moving of their server. So, here I am doing it again from scratch. When we have a chance the staff will sit down and work a week to start excepting staff applications. as you all know we plan to run XRay Anti Scheat for our league to once and for all stop cheating. This is not a guarantee to stop individual DQ's, but this will eliminate the worst of the worst. Other steps included may be making demoes mandatory for each player, still, we are in progress with that descision. So far in this league we have only had 6 round DQ's and one match DQ. This is not a bad track record and most of our units are doing a very good job with it. In addition the league will re-evaluate or current units to ensure they are in it for the long haul. We still have 5 weeks left so we are hoping to have all 10 units make it to the finish line. Lapier of the AA and Tower Dog of the AA have been a tremendous help in this league and has helped it survive this long, we hope that with the added admins we will be taking that our burdens are lessoned to we have more time to get things done for you guys.
April 13th, 09 Website 404 Error For those very few who can read this, again, more downtime for the website. The hacker attack was corrected, however my hosting company switched its main servers and now the UWFL site is lost. The host tells me it will only be a few days before the problem resolves itself. Sorry agon for the wait. April 3rd, 09 Site Attack Many of you may have noticed some downtime and some functions on this website still not operating. Do not worry, the website will be up fully within the week. It appears our site was targeted in a hacker attack. Reasons are pretty obvious that someone or someones hold grudges with a realism league or whatever reason. Administration will have a meeting to trace through the log files to see when the attack occured and if possible an IP adress of the last user on the website before the attack. We will then trace this IP through our list of registered members. I pray that it was none of you, though a select few who have had personal bad experiences with the league would never stoop this low. It is also revelent that the 3rd Realism Community was also attacked. They where planted with a virus. Please do not visit the website until we get an official "OKAY" from the 3rd Community. Realistic Gamers and Realism Gaming are both okay. If anyone has any information please come forward. We cannot have pissed of players running around attacking websites that people work hard to make and have to keep their work flowing. This goes beyond an immature rage to a Federal Crime and this DODS Players is not what we are. Again, I hope it was some random "Conflicter" leftover attack and no one here is responsible. Entire units will be banned on site and I would hope blacklisted from the entire DODS community for actions like this.
Mar 21st, 09 New Map Report Out! The UWS has released another map report out and will hopefully be voted on to become our week 5 map. It is a much smaller map and will give our strategists a much needed break in their backbreaking attack and defense planning. In addition the map only has two avenues for attack!!! Will defenders try to smother them at their choke points or will they rely on a defense closer to the rear? Week 5 is sure to see its share of blood and glory!! Mar 20th, 09 Week 4 begins today! With a new server technicians hard at work and a new makeover for the webby, we are hoping for a great weekend filled with great teamwork and sportsmanship. Mar 17th, 09 New Schedule Added! All units please take a look at the new schedule up completed by Lapier. This schedule now reflects the remaining 10 units we have in the league rather than the original 14. The reason is because we cannot find anymore units for reserves. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. New Security and CFG Implemented! Units, be prepared to force your members to use custom cfg's to install for your matches. We will be raising the lerp and rates to increase server quality and in addition set up minimum security reqs. Players who do not have this cfg added will not make it onto the server!
Mar 14th, 09 3rd Week Announcments
Trouble in the port bow, the first day went by smoothly, but it would seem that this day had not wished to work as well for us at the UWFL. We did not get our first match started, and their had been a failure of communication, but that is alright. There is always a hitch somewhere, but with quick and decisive thinking the Staff pulled together a quick schedule fixing up some of the problems momentarily to keep the ship afloat well they go to finish the rest of the things that need doing.
Enough about that though. Guess what is coming up guys!!! Yes that's right! The Tournament of Champions. That's right guys, it's time to start practicing on your speed. Start practicing to clear rooms, watching for ambushes, and other such things. It's all time-based, don't let your teammates die though, you'll lose more time on this and it will hurt you in the end. Remember guys you need to sign up in the forums so don't wait up, just go and sign up. This is going to be memorable as we have RP members to do the ambushes against you and your unit. (Unit commanders sign-up only please.)
*Side Note: Staff positions are once again open, go in the forum and sign up there if you're interested and have the time in your day to help with the site and league. Mar 7th, 09 2nd Week Overview
The second week of gameplay has gone by without hitch! Zero DQ's, no postponements, no bad experiences. The league is officially running smoothly. The previous week as with all new things is expected to have its ups and downs. However with a stream of bad luck from the server, the site going down and one very bad match, it at least survived to enable a new week of fun and competition.
2nd Week The 2nd week of the season is well on its was with a Friday match completed and three more today! All units we wish you the best of luck! The second weekend of play begins today. The UWFL Rules have been applied to us all, we have had our first match and ironed out the process, now the real fun begins. The UWFL will be their at your matches once again to ensure your match is brought to you. We had some confusion last week amongst the staff on who had what matches so we will be testing something out as well. Good luck participants, play well.
Mar 3rd, 09 Week 2 in Preparation! Announcements have been sent to all units in the Season to prepare for week 2. We will be picking up another team to fill the BlackWatches withdrawel. Two teams are in a race to register first as soon as the server is completely functional and they can log in again. The first to enroll will assume the rest of BlackWacthes matches with a record of 0 wins, 1 loss. If you missed those announcments please refer to the schedule to see the downloads and the rules for dod_vigilance. More Forum themes coming! We understand that our current theme, though professional looking, may be a bit bland for many of you. We will be adding and adjusting up to 20 new forum skins for you to choose from and release them by the end of next weekend. Be sure to look at the bottom of the forums to see the option to change your default skin! Mar 2nd, 09 SITE BACK ONLINE The website went down abruptly last night due to a server location change and DNS update. The website is still currently fixing itself so a few members will not be allowed to view them quiet yet. If the problem is still showing for your friends after tomorrow please tell them to remove their cookies.
Feb 24th, 09 STEAM UPDATE Steam Update: Steam reconfigured their computers today in what was supposed to be a few minutes of scheduled downtime. However somewhere along the lines the update has severely hampered steams ability with DODS and TF2. Counter Strike seemed uninfected though their daily activity was noticibly lower today. Steam has released information stating that the problem has been addressed and is being looked at. They hope to have everything back to normal by tomorrow. Please note, that server admins and even clients may need to update their information to take steps that they will not be kicked by "Invalid Steam ID Ticket". Feb 17, 09 New Staff Members! New faces will be seen around here working with you guys. 1st.Lt. Crittendon and Pvt. Wake will be heading up the scheduling and statistics department for the league. They will be contacting each unit either via steam or forums to work out a flow of communications with you all and prepare the schedule for this annual season. They have been trained and briefed on their roles and we expect them to do their jobs accordingly. Please everyone give them a warm UW hand for their volunteering and please be patient with them as they learn the ropes.

Feb 3, 09 The 17th Airborne Division and the 2.SS Das Reich Units have enrolled for season 1! The Tournament Of Champions gameplay and features has been announced. We hope to have enough supporters and role players to work this event and make a "by week" to take a break from the regular season to add a little something extra to the mix. The ToC Tournament will be a one weekend tournament in which teams will instead of Realism be forced to confront staged Ambushes and Attacks. The unit with the lowest overall time to accomplish the event will win the Tournament! In addition the MVP will have a custom signature and Avatar made of their choosing from SigBake Graphics!
